ALEX BOND (Author/Reader) is an actress, writer and comedienne. Most recently she appeared in the 2008 and 2009 Off-Broadway productions of “Flamingo Court” as Clara, Marie, and Chi Chi. Regional theatre work: DFW Fringe Festival at the Hub Theatre, Provincetown Theatre, New Harmony Theatre, Depot Theatre, Buffalo Studio Arena, Virginia Stage Company, Theatre Virginia, South Jersey Regional Theatre, Dallas Theatre Center, Theatre Three. Numerous national commercials. TV credits include: “SNL”, “All My Children”. Ms. Bond's plays "re-BELLE-ious", "Lopsided", and "Morning, Noon, and Night in Central Park" have been produced in Massachusetts, New York, and Texas. Ms. Bond just completed a novel “Late Nights With The Boys: confessions of a leather bar chanteuse”. She currently does readings from the book with David Carson; their work has received the ‘Producer’s Pick Award’ from the 2007 Dallas/Ft. Worth Fringe Festival and the ‘Best Literary Staging’ from the 2008 San Francisco Fringe Festival. In 2009 The Fresh Fruit Festival of NYC gave Alex and David the opportunity to read for one evening. DAVID L. CARSON (Reader) has been a 'native New Yorker' for 34 years. As a member of Metropolitan Playhouse he has acted in or directed more than 25 productions and workshops over the last 16 years. He has acted and/or directed for Reverie Productions, 78th St.Theatre Lab, Bombshell, and many other New York theatre groups. In the NYC Int'l Fringe Festival he performed Michael Bettencourt's mono-drama MINE EYES (2003) and appeared in Danny Ashkenasi's opera BEYOND (2005). He directed the original productions of Jeffrey Solomon's MOTHER/son and Robin Goldfin's THE EDUCATION OF RAV HYMIE GOLDFARB. David played Manolo Costazuela in the THE ODD COUPLE - The Female Version at The Northeast Theatre in Scranton, PA. Among his favorite regional experiences was playing Richard Nixon in Russell Lee's NIXON'S NIXON in Williamsburg, VA, last Fall. One of his passions is the development of new material, so he thanks Alex for the opportunity to read from her book again. And thanks, always, to Barry.
